Manchester United Reach FA Cup Final After Penalty Shootout Victory

Red Devils Set to Face Manchester City in Title Clash

Manchester United have booked their place in the FA Cup final after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Coventry City. The match ended 3-3 after extra time, with United eventually prevailing 4-2 in the shootout.

United will now face city rivals Manchester City in the final, which will be played on Saturday, 23rd April 2024. The two teams met in the final last year, with City winning 1-0.

United's victory over Coventry was hard-fought, with the Sky Blues taking an early lead through Viktor Gyokeres. However, United fought back to level through Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes.

Coventry regained the lead through Matt Godden, but United once again equalized through Alejandro Garnacho. The match went to extra time, but neither team could find a winner.

In the shootout, United goalkeeper David de Gea saved two spot-kicks, while Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Fred, and Anthony Martial all scored for the Red Devils.

United will now be hoping to end their long wait for a trophy, with their last major silverware coming in the 2017 Europa League.
